The New Story Group Home Program focuses on increasing a young person’s level of independence productivity, community integration, and adaptive behavior. Success is measured differently for everyone, but gaining the necessary skills for independent living is a universal recovery goal for all of our residents as well as family reunification when appropriate.
Our program is designed for teens and young adults who are in crisis and may have a history of oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, physical/self-injurious behaviors, sexual offending behaviors and violent offending behaviors.
New Story provides residents with access to 24-hour mental health and addiction services along with structure and supervision in a therapeutic culture in the group home environment.
Our program is unique by incorporating a motivational management system that is strengths based and outcomes driven. We pride ourselves on the individual treatment our residents receive, and by establishing a discharge plan on the day of admission.
